Alvin is first up, starting the transformation from traditional fabric to tote. After laying out fresh-from-the-market fabric, he cuts it into the 20+ pieces needed for each tote.
Dorothy gets the sewing started by stitching funky fabric to pillow-like padding. She gives each tote its extra durability and comfort.
Judy spins the tote upside down and inside out to stitch all the 20+ pieces together. This is where the backpack starts to take form.
Reggie threads the drawstrings through each hole while smiling each step of the way. Once threaded, the tote is packed, shipped and ready for the journey ahead.
