Bhutan is a wildly Bhut’iful country where nature, culture and its people thrive together. And the Bhut’y goes far beyond its external appearance. There is a holistic sense of Bhut’y with a focus on internal thoughts and peace of mind that creates a country that is Bhut’iful both inside and out.
In the 8th century, Indian Buddhist master Guru Padmasambhava was said to have meditated for 3 years, 3 months, 3 weeks, 3 days and 3 hours in the Taktsang caves above Bhutan's Paro Valley. He introduced the Bhut’y of compassion, contentment and calmness through Buddhism to the Bhutanese people.
And in his honor, the Bhut’iful Paro Taktsang Buddhist Temple was built tucked away in the caves that housed his years of meditation.
Intrigued by this country, traveler Lesley set out to get a taste of Bhutan…
and found a piece of its Bhut’y to share with you too.
Here’s to finding Bhut’y both inside and out and to feeling good—because after all, it's Friday!
