Taaluma Totes are made of traditional fabrics from around the globe. Travelers are journeying far and wide to find the craziest cottons & slickest silks this world has to offer...wandering deep into local markets and down fabric-filled alleyways to find a piece of the real local culture.
Each fabric is sent to our sewing team located right here in the US. They carefully craft these bright, colorful cottons into backpacks.
We close the loop by giving back to people in each tote’s country. 20% of profits are microloaned in the tote’s country to farmers and small business owners. They repay the loan when they can and we use the repayment to buy more fabric for the next tote—starting the cycle again.
