Fresh off the Loom-pia

December 20, 2019

Rebecca Wong hadn’t traveled in nearly 20 years, but a recent trip to the Philippines broke that streak and has left her coco-nuts about traveling the world.

Vowing to sea more of the world, she boarded a plane headed strait for the Philippines, which is known for its many islands, its biodiversity, its beautiful beaches, and for produce-ing lots of fruits and veggies. From bananas to pineapples to papayas, it's a place loaded with a whole bunch of vitamin-sea!

But what Rebecca noticed the most on her trip was how friendly the locals were. “It is the people that make a place," Rebecca realized when she was reflecting on her trip.

What else was memorable on her trip? The food! Because when you are in the Philippines, you try new foods!

From when you rice in the morning...

To when you spice things up…

To never getting tired of the lumpia... that's just how you roll when you're in the Philippines.

With all that fuel, Rebecca soon hit the marketplaces of Manila in search of fabric.

And what she found is one in a melon. Here it is fresh off the loom:

Thanks Rebecca for your awesome find!

So if you consume a "few too many" calories this holiday season, just remember... you can always walk it off on your next trip!

Here’s to making the world your gymn-Asia-um...and to feeling good  — because after all, it’s Friday!
