Home is where the heart is

Traveler Lucy, a self-proclaimed Taalumaniac, lived in Malaysia for a few years when she was a young child.

Now an adult, she returned to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia to find her childhood home.

Armed with a handful of memories and unwavering determination, she set out on her quest.

To start her search, Lucy found a towering reference point

and got a great vantage point on so many levels.

(Can you see your house from up there?

Once she saw the Ma-lay of the land, she knew exactly what steps to take!

The first tusk: Find the mini elephant sculptures.

Next, go with the flow beside the street art.

Then, follow the root through the woods (to grandma’s house we go).

Pretty soon, Lucy recognized a street sign she would go past every day as a child…

and taking a trip down memory lane, she finally found it!

To help capture memories of her childhood hometown, Lucy hit the markets and searched for the infi-knit-ely perfect fabric.

And what she found tote-ally goes the extra yard!

“This fabric's bright colors and motif remind me of our family trips to Malaysian Borneo and their traditional clothes.” - Lucy Cronan

Here’s to remembering where you came from and looking forward to where you're going… & to feeling good—because after all, it’s Friday!
