When we asked Traveler Leonore what her favorite thing about exploring a new place was, her response was: the people.
“Because I travel often for work, I have the added opportunity to really meet people in their every day life. This is what I love the most.”
And that didn’t change on her trip to Chennai, India where her husband is from.
“I noted often that people were so willing to assist, from the restaurant workers,
to the shop keepers,
to the auto-rickshaw drivers,
to the airport attendants.
There was always someone with a kind smile, and soft word to assist a weary traveler along her way.”
There was never a dal moment on her trip. She didn’t just spend her time himalayan around, she went out searching for fabric. Luckily, her sister-in-law lives in Chennai and knew the exact place to get authentic fabric.
