Show & Tel Aviv

June 19, 2020

Throughout the years, Taaluma Travelers have adventured with their totes across much of The Holy Land.

From Tel Aviv,

to the Dead Sea,

to the Sea of Galilee,

to the Negev,

to the streets of Jerusalem.

Those Totes (and their awesome owners) have gotten to enjoy so much of the history and beauty of Israel.

Today, we’re super excited to be releasing a new tote from Tel Aviv, Israel!

My daughter had a work Visa and lived there for a year. She worked in the hospitality industry (hotels) and fell in love with the city, culture, people & food. She travels back a few times a year to visit friends. I asked a good friend of hers to get material for me so I could give my daughter a surprise gift (tote) that would provide her with a piece of the country she loves.” - Lisa Andary

Thank you Lisa for sharing a piece of Israel with us! And shoutout to your daughter’s friend who picked out this AMAZING fabric in Tel Aviv, we’re tote-ally obsessed with it!

Here’s to reminiscing about the places you’ve been & to feeling good—because after all, it’s Friday!

It’s Feel Good Friday and we got some good news for ya! So which do you want first… the good news… or more good news?

Good news: We’re so excited to announce that we’ve been given the green light to start making totes again! (Back in April, we were deemed non-essential so we had to stop tote production due to the Governor’s COVID orders).

More good news: For the past 3 months, we turned our attention to making face masks for our customers and donating face masks to hospital workers (don't worry, we didn’t go into hibernation mode. If anything, we got busier producing all these face masks).

Pot o' Gold
Pot o' Gold

Top o’ the morning to ya!

Today, two awesome travelers bring us a story of adventure, tradition, and a whole lot of Irish luck!

Take it away April!

“We landed in Ireland the morning of Saint Patrick's Day, and of course after checking in at our hotel, we headed straight for the streets of Dublin to get a spot on the parade route. It was cold, and windy, and we stood in the chilly air for a good hour before the parade made its way to where we were standing, but it was totally worth it to see something that was completely unexpected- no green, orange, white colored floats, or clovers and anything that we portray in the U.S. on Saint Patrick's Day. Instead, it was a parade with a story telling theme of different floats, dancers, bands, etc. There was also no 'bead tossing' as many expect in parades. It was rewarding to experience a real Irish tradition in Ireland, and to see the way locals celebrate this holiday!
