It’s been 8 years since the idea for Taaluma Totes was born while on a life-changing trip to Uganda.
Since then, we’ve been able to fund 41 microloans for small business owners living in Uganda.
From Moses, a 24-year-old coffee farmer who used his loan to buy mulch.
Taaluma travelers have had a very gouda time in Holland over the years.
From getting caught in a Holland-daze over the beauty of the land (and to becoming a big fan of the windmills), to discovering the magical world of Nether-Netherland, to having a wheely good time petal-ing around the city.
We asked traveler Christa, “Without thinking, what is the first interaction that you can remember when stepping foot into Morocco?”
Her response: “The symphony of colors.”
“We have heard so much about Morocco, so we were curious to see the landscape and meet the people. First, we made a guided mountain bike trip through the southern part of the Atlas with snow-covered peaks, the impressive Saghro Mountains, and the beautiful Oases.... and it was fantastic."
HimalYAYas, a new Nepal tote has arrived!
In 2018, Traveler Taylor moved to Chitwan, Nepal.
While living in Nepal, Taylor has gathered some awesome fabrics for us to turn into totes. Believe it or not, this is Taylor’s ninth Nepal tote...and it may just be the best one yet! Click the image or button below to see a special message from Taylor. #thinkglobalactlocal
Australia is Aussie-some!
From en’joey-ing the unique wildlife, to appreciating the koala-ty vegetation, to pond’ering the remoteness of the Outback.
India is a land full of ancient history, diverse culture, and breathtaking geography.
From taking in the Indus-scribable views, to seeing what the Taj of the town is all about, to realizing that this is as good is it Ghats.
A little goes a long way in many countries around the world.
That’s why we help fund microloans for people all across the globe. And these microloans make a BIG difference. Like in Nigeria, where the average annual income is only $6,000.
With sales proceeds from our Nigeria Tote line, we’ve funded microloans for 3 Nigerian business owners.
Canada is full of stunning beauty.
From witnessing the Niagara Falls (even if people say it's mainstream), to stopping in your tracks because the views are snow majestic, to taking a step (Que)bec in time while walking the old cobblestone streets.
It’s Feel Good Friday and we got some good news for ya! So which do you want first… the good news… or more good news?
Good news: We’re so excited to announce that we’ve been given the green light to start making totes again! (Back in April, we were deemed non-essential so we had to stop tote production due to the Governor’s COVID orders).
More good news: For the past 3 months, we turned our attention to making face masks for our customers and donating face masks to hospital workers (don't worry, we didn’t go into hibernation mode. If anything, we got busier producing all these face masks).
Tis the sea-sun as summer is officially here! We’re feeling pretty shore that it’s going to be a great summer! Here’s to shell-abrating good times with great people..
