Farming
A loan helped to buy certified fertilizer to improve her farm's corn production and use the profits to fuel her future.
Margaret's story
Margaret (a 33-year-old mom of 5 school-going children) is a woman with a big heart. Although she had a great passion for education, she showed much interest in farming and was able to grasp everything about it. She is a wise farmer whose love for farming exceeds all limits. She is regarded by her neighbors and fellow farmers as a mentor.
Margaret’s main income source is milk from her dairy farm, but she also grows corn. Her farm is profitable, but she has always wanted to increase her income. She is seeking a loan to buy certified fertilizer to improve her farm's corn production. With the loan Margaret will be assured of a good harvest, which will translate into more profits and income.
Margaret is motivated to get up and work hard for two goals: to improve her housing conditions and provide a good education for her children. She wants what any mother would want for them: a bright future.
This loan is special because:
It finances smallholder farmers to purchase dairy cows, chickens, cereals, farm inputs and farming equipment.
