A loan helped to purchase dried small fish, tomatoes and mangoes.

Mary's story

Mary is 45 years old, she is married and has six children. She has had a food business for 10 years, selling small dried fish, onions, mangoes and tomatoes and earning KES 15,000 a month.

This is her first borrowing to finance her business. She will be using the loan to purchase dried small fish, tomatoes and mangoes and hopes this will help her to expand her business and pay for her children's school fees.

Her hopes and dreams for the future are to own a successful business.

This loan is special because:

It provides financial services and education in deep rural areas.
