The hunt began in the small alleys of the Ho Chi Minh fabric market.
Through a combination of broken English and body language, we had decided on our fabric.
Feeling Good about our Vietnamese fabric, we thought we’d be on our way, but then a man with a basket of mysterious food showed up... We realized our Vietnamese fabric hunt was far from over!
It started with a banana leaf pyramid of rice noodle, with minced pork, quail egg, and salt and pepper. It was followed by coffee, tea, and exchanging pictures of family. Before we knew it, 2 hours had passed and with arms full of fabric we said our Cám ơn's and good-byes!
Here’s to our Taaluma fabric friends around the world and Feeling Good, because after all it’s Friday!
