A Stand for the Land

September 25, 2020

The beauty of Nepal will take your breath away.

However, lack of proper waste management in Nepal is beginning to degrade some of that beauty. In many places, around 70% of waste is dumped in rivers or burned on the side of the road. This has contributed to pollution and disease in Nepal’s communities.

It is Taylor’s mission to change that. She is currently working on creating a sustainable waste management system in Chitwan, Nepal. She then plans on replicating it in other regions of Nepal.

Taylor has already helped educate tens of thousands of locals and recycled over 800 tons of recyclables that would have otherwise ended up in the streets or in landfills. Way to go Taylor!

“Never underestimate our potential to be agents of positive change. Now is the time to act, inspire and empower others to do the same." - Taylor Smythe
